H & H Construction Services is a husband-and-wife-run finishing carpentry company specializing in fine finishing work.

  • Ian – Master finishing carpenter & project manager

  • James – Full-time general laborer/carpentry assistant

  • Ryan – Full-time finishing carpenter

  • Alix – Handles emails, scheduling, invoicing, and payroll

  • Justus (Denbix) – Social media, website management, and marketing

Ian is a true professional with exceptional craftsmanship, particularly in door installations. His ability to find solutions for any problem sets him apart. Our team is reliable, solution-oriented, and dedicated to delivering high-end, high-quality work.

Current Clients & Work

  • Primary Work: Long-standing finishing carpenters for general contractor Will McKeen (featured on our IG)

  • Secondary Work: Installations for the only local door supplier, Tantalus Doors

  • Additional Work: Custom projects such as closets, door upgrades, and window replacements

We primarily serve Squamish, Brackendale, and Britannia Beach but are open to larger projects in Whistler. We prefer not to work in Vancouver due to its size and busyness. However, Whistler presents significant opportunities due to its high-end market.

Branding & Company Colors

Black, gold, white, and red

  • The red should be used sparingly.

  • Avoid using only red, black, and white together (Ian is a devoted Liverpool FC fan and would consider this a betrayal 🤣).

    • Change "Site-Cleaning" to "General Labour"

    • Add/edit reviews

    • Improve doors portfolio with better photos

    • Create a "Custom Woodwork" portfolio

    • Refine the Services page for clarity, possibly adding more photos

Instagram Strategy

  • Pinned Posts: Should clearly outline our services, process, and how clients can book us.

  • Open to experimenting with new pin ideas (will share current Canva designs).

Big Goals

  1. Large-scale door projects – Apartment buildings, condos, complexes (installations, replacements, upgrades).

  2. Expand general contractor partnerships – Currently, we work exclusively with Will McKeen. We want to establish relationships with other contractors (e.g., Blue Water Concepts).

Additional Considerations

  • Ensure that both industry professionals and the general public clearly understand what finishing carpentry entails. Many people still don’t fully grasp our services.

  • Targeting realtors – Potential for brochure distribution in town, positioning our services as a solution for home sellers and new homeowners.
